Halifax Academy Varsity baseball traveled to St. Davids Thursday night

The Vikings win in 5 innings, 12-2.

Luke Blackman got the start on the mound and pitched a strong 3 innings, walking only 1, striking out 4, allowing no hits or runs. Collin Smith came in for relief for 1 inning striking out 1 and allowing no hits or runs. Senior Andrew Bryant closed out game for Vikings on the mound walking 3, striking out 1 allowed 2 hits and 2 runs.

Matthew Wray started the hitting streak in the 3rd with double, followed by Luke Blackman and Collin Smith also with doubles. Ryan Mizelle sent one over the left field fence and Landen Poole closed out the hitting in the 3rd with a single.

The 4th inning was just as productive: Matthew Wray with triple, Smith with a single, and Andrew Bryant hitting one over left field fence. Ryan Mizelle rounded out 4th inning with single.

Luke Blackman had a single in the 5th along with Taylor Harris, Eric Hockaday, and Hunter Denny.

 

The Vikings play at Faith Christian Friday March 28th.
