RRYBA U10's drop two, headed to State

RR U10 All-stars finish 3rd.

 

The 10u Roanoke Rapids All Stars dropped two games Sunday in the Semifinals, losing first to Outer Banks All Stars 3-1 and then losing to Wayne County All Stars 6-3. Although they lost both games the RR All Stars finished 3rd and qualified for the State tournament in Laurinburg, NC.

 

In the first game fans were treated to an incredible defensive baseball game by both teams.  The RR All Stars only managed 2 hits, one each by Zach Elder and Russell Moore at the plate and the lone score came from Parker Bristow.

 

Russell Moore and AJ Strickland pitched in the loss.

 

In the second game the RR All Stars were led at the plate by Chase Nelson with 2 hits. Parker Bristow and Wade Jenkins each had one hit and Nelson, Jenkins, and Coleman Neal accounting for the 3 runs.

 

Moore and Strickland again pitched in the loss with each pitcher striking out 3 batters.
