Brown
The man allegedly responsible for the stabbing, William Douglas Brown, 34 of Roanoke Rapids, turned himself in to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office today.
Detective J.M. Clark said it was unclear about the nature of the argument and the case is still being investigated.
Investigation began late Saturday night after the sheriff's office received a call from Halifax Regional Medical Center about a victim who was stabbed in the torso multiple times with a knife.
Deputies G. Page and S. Coates assisted in the investigation at the Community Marathon convenience store.
Investigation led to Clark issuing a warrant for Brown's arrest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
The victim was initially transported to HRMC, but was airlifted to an undisclosed medical facility.
Brown was jailed on $6,000 bond and given an August 6 court date.
