Familiar face behind the whistle.
Halifax Academy 8 man football players hit the practice field Monday for their first
official day of independent school practice.
 
With no coach in place for summer work-outs, Halifax has just a short time to be ready
for their jamboree scheduled within three weeks at Parrott Academy August 16th.
 
Coach Rabbit Long returns to the Halifax sidelines for the 2014-15 season after a five
year absence. "We have our work cut out for us, but we have a great group of players
returning," said coach Long.
 
Halifax opens the season on the road August 29 at Rocky Mount Academy and opens
at home September 5th against Northeast Academy.
