Panthers return after open week with Loss.
After a promising opening drive stalled with first and goal,
the KIPP Pride Panthers were unable to muster much
effective offense against Rocky Mount Prep at home Friday
night in Gaston.
Repeated mistakes and turnovers caused the offense to
sputter, while Rocky Mount Prep put up 26 points in the
first half.
Kipp showed some life with an opening second half drive,
finished up by a Darius Bobbit 8 yard scoring run.
The defense also played a much better second half, led by
Somaji Cole who finished with 10 tackles, an interception
and fumble recovery, but that still wasn't enough as KIPP
falls to 0-4 with the 32-6 loss.
The Panthers host North Edgecombe next Friday night
September 26th at 7:30.
