Halifax Academy's 2014-15 season home opener tipped off Friday night hosting KIPP High. The varsity lady Vikings started off slow, holding a 21-19 lead at halftime.

The Lady Vikings opened up the second half and earned their second win of the season beating KIPP 56-27.

Leading scorers for Halifax were: Kelly Williams with 29 points, Candace Smith with 14 points, Kate Starnes with 8 points, Drew Rose and Brooke Robertson with 2 points each, Jordan Strickland with 1 point.

Leading scorers for KIPP were: S. Taylor with 6 points, N. Wilkins with 5 points, and D. Nesmith with 4 points.
