RRHS boys win one for coach

JV and varsity boys win, while varsity girls fall to KIPP

Roanoke Rapids JV boys handed KIPP their second loss this week beating them 56-45.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Ty Simmons with 14 points, Dre Terry with 12 points and Quincy Vann with 8 points.

Leading scorers for KIPP were:  Jarvis Adams with 23 and Rakel Hot with 12 points.

 

Roanoke Rapids varsity girls lead 20-19 at halftime against KIPP, but Kayla Buffalo stepped up her game. KIPP earned the win 54-46.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were Brooke McClenny with 15 points and Alizae Neville with 10 points.

 

Roanoke Rapids varsity boys earned head coach Tyler Snyder a birthday win on his birthday beating KIPP 71-53.

Leading scorers were Cameron Yarboro with 18 points, Marcus Jones and DeJuan Wlaker had 12 points each.

"We played well in the first half, that was a carry over from our game Wednesday," said coach Snyder. "The boys celebrated my birthday by dumping me with water after the game, It was kind of cold," coach added.
