Halifax Academy JV girls started the day off with a win by beating Kerr-Vance Academy 27-16.

Halifax Academy JV boys fell short and lost to Kerr-Vance Academy 27-44.

Swimming seniors Hayley Heath and Ivan Carroll along with varsity boys basketball seniors Jacob Smith, Cody Moore, Matthew Wray, Cody Oakley, Garrett Morris and Ryan Hockaday were recognized center court before the varsity games.
Halifax Academy varsity girls beat Kerr-Vance Academy 52-26. Finishing the regular season with a 21-1 overall record and a 10-1 conference record and should get the co-conference championship with Oakwood who also is 10-1 in the Coastal Independent Conference.

Halifax Academy varsity boys beat Kerr-Vance Academy 69-54.
Leading scorers were: Senior Garrett Morris with 32 points, Jackson Harris with 13 points, Seniors Matthew Wray & Jacob Smith with 8 points each, Brandon Moody & Senior Ryan Hockaday with 3 points each and Senior Cody Oakley with 2 points.
Coastal Conference seeding will be Saturday and first round of conference play is at the higher seed Tuesday February 10th and Halifax Academy will host the remaining conference tournament starting Thursday afternoon February 12th.
Halifax Academy Middle school basketball team traveled to Kerr-Vance Academy Tuesday afternoon.
Halifax won 27-15.
