Sunday night
Arrest warrants have been issued for Jvon Farlondon Martin, 27, of Weldon in the robbery that occurred around 11:45 at Windchase Apartments.
Detective Frankie Griffin, according to Chief Chuck Hasty, has obtained warrants for Martin's arrest on charges of first-degree burglary; four counts of second-degree kidnapping; robbery with a dangerous weapon; possession of a firearm by a felon; discharging a firearm in the city limits; larceny of a motor vehicle and discharging a weapon into occupied property.
The charges stem from an initial investigation into a burglary call by Lieutenant Jeff Baggett, Sergeant Richard White and Officer Matt Hunsucker who learned that a man later identified as Martin entered the residence and demanded money from those inside.
Hasty said Martin fired several rounds inside the residence.
He left with cash and stole a 1998 blue Ford Explorer from one of the victims.
Griffin's investigation led to the identification of Martin.
Martin is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
