Jackets fall in State play-offs

Roanoke Rapids traveled to Burlington Cummings High Saturday

The Roanoke Rapids men's basketball 2014-15 season ended on the road Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets team fell to Cummings High 51-65.

Roanoke Rapids was up by 1 point after 1st period and up by 6 points in the second, but down by 2 points at halftime. They never got closer than 6 points in the second half. 

Roanoke Rapids coach Tyler Snyder stated, " They just out jumped us on rebounds and we made some costly turnovers."

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were:  Marcus Jones with 11 points and Cameron Yarboro & DJ Jones with 10 points each.
