Two more people have been identified and are wanted in a botched robbery attempt that occurred in Weldon's Holly Court last month.

Detective W. Murphy Jr. of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Kwame Taiwan Robinson, 18, and Jonathan Le'Mark Johnson, 20, both of Littleton, are considered armed and dangerous.

He described the pair as friends with Christopher Mykel Brooks, 17, who has already been arrested in the robbery attempt where the victim was shot and continues to recover from his wounds.

There are others involved in the matter who have not been identified, he said this evening.

Robinson and Johnson are wanted for conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon; attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

The men are known to frequent the housing projects of Weldon and Garysburg as well as the Georgia Avenue area of Roanoke Rapids, Murphy said in the statement.

The robbery attempt occurred around 7 p.m. February 28 when the three went to rob the victim of what Murphy described this evening as personal belongings. The men were familiar with the victim, he said.

The robbery attempt was somehow botched and the victim was shot several times.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is encouraged to call the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
