The Northampton County Branch of the NAACP will hold a prayer vigil Saturday for missing persons in Halifax and Northampton counties.

The families of Robert Moore, Daniel Moses, Shawn Alston, Shonda Stansbury, Jalesa Reynolds and Amy Bridgeman will be at the Northampton County Courthouse in Jackson at noon.

“We will be praying for the families and for answers from above in regard to the whereabouts of their missing loved ones,” the organization said in a statement. “In addition to our prayers, this event will allow the opportunity for local authorities to make a public request of the FBI to assist with the investigation of all six cases in both counties.”

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation at 800-334-3000; the Northampton County Sheriff's Office at 252-534-2611; the Halifax County Sheriff's Office at 252-583-8201 or the Roanoke Rapids Police Department at 252-533-2810.
