A third person wanted in a February shooting at Holly Court surrendered to Weldon police today.

Jonathan Le'Mark Johnson, 20, of Littleton gave up after reading media accounts of him being sought by law enforcement in the botched robbery attempt, said Detective W. Murphy Jr. of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Kwame Taiwan Robinson remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous, Murphy said.

The detective continues to investigate the case and is developing leads on another person reportedly involved.

Johnson surrendered around 10:30 this morning and faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

He was jailed on $50,000 bond and awaits a March 25 court date.

The shooting occurred February 28 around 7 p.m. at Holly Court in Weldon following a failed robbery attempt where the victim was shot several times.

The victim continues to recover from the wounds sustained.
