Halifax Academy varsity baseball fall

Halifax Academy Varsity boys lose at Kerr-Vance 0-3

The Vikings struggled offensively only getting 3 hits.

Luke Blackman had a double in 1st inning but was not able to advance when next 2 batters struck out.

Ryan Hockaday hit single in top of 2nd inning but again next batters unable to advance him.

Top of 3rd Bradley Myrick walked but was picked off before Matthew Wray could advance him when he hit a double. Luke Blackman walked giving Vikings 2 runners on base, but again Viking batters were unable to put the bat on the ball to score Wray or Blackman.

Kerr Vance would score 2 runs in 5th inning when batter reached 1st on error and next batter laid down a bunt down 3rd base line and both runners were safe. A sacrifice fly in bottom of 6th added another run for Kerr Vance.

Ryan Mizelle pitched entire game for Halifax getting the loss.

The Vikings host Faith Christian of Rocky Mount Thursday at home at 5:00. This is the 1st home game for the Varsity Vikings.
