Halifax softball Senior night

The Lady Vikings softball team fell on senior night Tuesday.

Halifax fell to Cape Fear Christian Academy 11-3.

Candice Smith pitched 6 innings with 9 strikeouts while Sydney Smith pitched the 7th inning with 1 strikeout.

At the plate for the Lady Vikings: Candice Smith hit a home-run, Drew Rose had 2 singles, Margaret Hudson & Sydney Smith each had a double.

It was Senior night at the Viking field and Hayley Heath, the only 2015 softball senior.

The Vikings have one regular season game remaining that is scheduled for Wednesday against Kenston Forest.
