PT (Temporary) Property Maintenance Worker. An employee in this class performs a variety of building, facility and equipment maintenance and repair activities including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and masonry. Work involves task at a variety of buildings and surrounding grounds.

Work requires significant independent initiative and advanced knowledge of trade practice and skills.

NOTICE OF MEETING CANCELLATION

Due to the lack of agenda items, notice is hereby given that the Regular Meeting of the Roanoke Rapids City Council scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2015 has been cancelled.

The next Regular Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. at the Lloyd Andrews City Meeting Hall.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Roanoke Rapids City Council

Notice is hereby given that the Roanoke Rapids City Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. at the Lloyd Andrews City Meeting Hall at 700 Jackson Street to hear the following items:

1. A rezoning request from Robert B. Barnes, Jr. and William E. Barnes (property owners) to rezone 0.3134± acres of property at 100 Wedgewood Drive from B-2 Commercial District to R-6 Residential District. The undeveloped property is described as Lot #1 of Wedgewood Village Subdivision located at the intersection of W. 10th Street and Wedgewood Drive.

2. A Conditional Use Permit Request from ECOPLEXUS (Applicant) and Bank of Hampton Roads (Property Owner) to develop a Solar Farm (major energy facility) on an undeveloped 124± acre site (Halifax County Parcel 1200688), located on the north side of American Legion Road. The site is located in the City’s Planning & Zoning Jurisdiction and has a B-4, Commercial Zoning Classification

Related information is available for public inspection in the Planning & Development office at the J. Reuben Daniel City Hall, 1040 Roanoke Avenue. Any persons, firms, organizations or corporations interested in these matters are urged to attend the meeting.
