Another served in Enfield murder

Arrests in the June 22 murder of Jarshamel Cambridge continued with the service of a warrant Thursday to Taphil Jerome Yancey.

Concerns about what happens in the future in the event a solar farm on American Legion Road is abandoned led the Roanoke Rapids Planning Board this evening to attach further stipulations on its conditional use permit.

Planning board OKs Crestview expansion

The Roanoke Rapids Planning Board will send a recommendation of approval for the expansion of Crestview Cemetery to city council.

The Enfield Police Department is trying to gather information about the theft of a refrigerated trailer and a Freightliner cab used to take it away.

Two nabbed in morning burglary

A 16-year-old from Roanoke Rapids and a 20-year-old from Richmond have been charged in a morning burglary in the 600 block of Cleveland Street.
