Man arrested on stolen weapon counts

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office today arrested Mark Anthony Peterson Jr., 25, of Littleton, on charges involving the theft of a firearm.

A man stuffed 12 sets of hand tools into his pockets and fled Lowe's Home Improvement before he could be caught, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
