Robert “Bobby” Earl O’Neal, 58, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at home.

Bobby was born in Halifax County on December 5, 1964, to William Cole O’Neal and Perlene Stansbury O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” O’Neal; and his daughter, Melanie O’Neal.

Bobby loved sports, joking around and music. He was determined to do anything he set out to accomplish. 

Bobby is survived by his mother, Perlene O’Neal; his brothers, William O’Neal and Dennis O’Neal and his wife Debra; his daughters, Nikki Williams and her husband James and Erica Alligood; his grandchildren, Reese Williams, Gabriel O’Neal, Alexus Hayes, Jayden Hayes and Leia Bottoms; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
