Betty Jean Hale, 86, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Betty was born in Halifax County on July 30, 1937, to the late Linwood Hale, Sr. and Mary Hazel Thomas Hale. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen Tucker and her brother, Ronald Lee Hale.

Betty is survived by her brother, Linwood Hale, Jr. and his wife Bonnie; her sons, Johnny Tucker and his wife Christina and Mike Perry; her grandson, J. J. Tucker; her nephews, Wayne Hale and his wife Deb and Tommy Hale.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Roanoke Rapids Church of God with Pastor Timothy Dean officiating.
