Mary Johnston Wynn 87 of Farmville passed away peacefully at PruittHealth on Monday April 1, 2024.  

Mary was born on February 19, 1937, in Halifax County.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Elton M. Wynn Sr, her parents Russell and Nellie Jonston, her daughter Addie Massey, her brothers Edar Johnston, Joe Johnston, Freddie Johnston, Willie Johnston, George Johnston, Wayne Johnston, Wade Johnston, and Lee Johnston and her sisters Ella Lassiter and Judy Johnston.

Mary is survived by her sons Elton (Janet) Wynn Jr and Pete (Billy) Wynn, daughters Becky Lee, Shirley (Billy) Whitehead, son-in law Charles Massey, brothers WG Johnston, Wesley Johnston, Mike Johnston and Eddie Johnston, sisters Ann Murphy and Marie (Jerry) Bailey and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia and a former member of Lakeview Baptist Church of Roanoke Rapids.

The visitation will be Thursday April 4, 2024, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremations. A graveside service at Cedarwood Cemetery on Friday April 5, 2024, at 11:00am, Pastor Ethan Davis will be conducting the service.
