The town of Weldon, per General Statute 143-215.1C, is reporting a discharge of untreated wastewater that began on December 18.

An estimated 10,289 gallons of wastewater was discharged at the Chockoyotte Creek Outfall Line. The untreated wastewater was discharged into Chockoyotte Creek which drains into the Roanoke River Basin.

The Division of Water Resources was notified of the event on December 18 and is reviewing the matter.
