Sluggers Win in Tarboro

The Roanoke Rapids based U8 travel baseball team "Carolina Sluggers" took home first place and championship rings from the U8 "Battle For Tarboro" tournament Saturday.

They defeated the Farmville Pirates in 4 innings with the final score of 15-4. In the second game against the Goldsboro Rays, it also ended after 4 innings with a final score of 15-0.

The Sluggers racked up on homeruns today with one by Braxton Hammack, two by Aric Stewart and four by Brayden Mills.
