KIPP drops Homecoming game to Northwest 52-30

Four turnovers and 90 yards of penalties were too much for Kipp Pride to overcome Friday night in Gaston.  Trailing 36-30 and driving in Northwest territory, the Panthers committed a costly fumble and allowed the visiting Vikings to tack on a score to pad their lead to 44-30.  The Vikings also added a late score to gain their final margin.

Senior back KD Goode scored three touchdowns....one on a 80yd. kickoff return.  His rushing total was 136 yds on 19 carries.  He also had 7 tackles on defense.  Larry Cotton added 64 yards on 14 carries and Markee Weaver 31 yds.  QB DeVaughn Crisp was 3-7 for 54 yards and a extra point conversion. He also rushed for 33 yards.

High tackles were KD Goode with 7, Larry Cotton with 6 and Markee Weaver, Kirby Underdue, Darius Bobbit all with 5 each

Kipp travels to Louisburg next week for a Thursday night game.
