Roanoke Rapids JV Yellow Jackets took to Doyle field Saturday afternoon to take on Scotland Neck in the first round of the JV Halifax-Northampton Midget Football League platy-offs.

Braxton Hammack opened up the scoring with a 40 yard punt return touchdown.

Wayne Wilkins scored 2 touchdowns and a two point conversion, Tanyus Daniels scored two touchdowns (interception for a TD and a rushing TD) Colin Clements added another two point conversion while Austin Geary added two more conversions (a pass to Hayden Garner and a rushing conversion) .

The Yellow Jackets beat Scotland Neck 38-14 and being #1 seed earned a bye for round two and will host the winner of Hornets Charges game for the Championship November 2 in Roanoke Rapids.
