Great football game at Hoyle field Tuesday night

The Halifax-Northampton Midget football league varsity #3 seed Roanoke Rapids Hornets defeated the #2 seed Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Tuesday night 20-6 in the semifinals to earn their second consecutive trip to the Super Bowl.

Touchdowns for the Hornets were scored by Isaiah Robinson (2) and Luke Campbell and thrown by Greg Hamlin (2) and Trevor Harrison.

The Hornets will host GCP in the 2013 Superbowl Saturday at 12 at the Hornets home field Roanoke Rapids High Hoyle Field.
