Southeast Halifax outlast KIPP High 42-30

KIPP High Panters put 24 points on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the Trojans of Southeast Halifax Friday night in Gaston. 

Trailing 36-6 beginning the 4th, the Panthers appeared to have new life with a couple of quick scores.  Southeast responded with one of their own however, and the comeback bid fell short. 

Senior KD Goode closed out his career at KIPP with a 189 yard, 4 TD performance on 32 carries.  He is the first 1000 yard rusher in the school's history and finished with 1070 yards. 

Larry Cotton also added 38 yards to bring his season total to 556 yards. 

QB DeVaughn Crisp finished 2-3 passing for 28 yards and ran in two 2 pt. conversions. 

Defensive standouts were Darius Bobbitt, KD Goode, Philip Butts and Maudquise Ingram.
