The girls only loss of the day was in the Championship game

The Lake Gaston Volleyball Club travel U-16 Junior Olympic team traveled to Providence Grove High in Climax NC Saturday. The team played in the Carolina Regional Volleyball Association tournament. The team would bring home the silver with a second place finish.

The team made up of girls from Halifax Academy and Roanoke Rapids High. The are Sara Smith, Katie Smith, Drew Rose, Kim Shearin, Kristy Price, Emilee Allen , Lynley Liles.  

The team is coached by Halifax Academy's coach Wendy Tickel And Roanoke Rapids High coach Jody Williams .

The team went 4-1 on the day with their only loss was in the championship game.
