Two down, two drivers, two wheeler built horsepower engines

NASCAR Sprint Cup race number two is over and in the book and Kevin Harvick became the second driver of the season to make it to victory lane.

Last week it was Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driver Dale Earnhardt Jr and this week it was Stewart-Haas Chevrolet driver Kevin Harvick in victory lane, but one person got to celebrate both victories as a major factor of the win.

That person is former Halifax County native Earl Wheeler a two time NASCAR engine builder of the year winner and Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Sprint Cup engine builder.

For the second week in a row, Wheeler has performed his duty of building a Sprint Cup engine and seeing it end up in Victory lane. Hendrick Motorsports who builds engines for their own teams also lease engines to other Chevrolet teams and this week Wheeler's built engine happened to be in the number 4 Jimmy Johns sponsored of Harvick's.
