RRHS beats Franklinton in Varsity Baseball action by a score of 13-3 in conference opener for both teams.  

Kyle Vincent picked up the win on the mound.  Vincent pitched 4 innings and struck out 6 batters.  Nick Horvath pitched one inning and struck out 1 batter.

 

Leading hitters for the Jackets were:  Ryan Williams with 3 hits (including 2 doubles) and 4 RBI.  Dylan Allen had 2 hits and 2 RBI.  Kyle Vincent had 2 hits (including a solo HR) and 1 RBI.  Carson Arthur had 2 hits and 1 RBI.

"This was a real team win tonight.  We had strong pitching from Vincent and Horvath and our defense played well behind them.  We also started hitting the ball better tonight as a team tonight.  I am really proud of the way our team responded from our last game," said Coach Mark Snead

 

RRHS is now 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Northern Carolina Conference.  Our next game is at home against Southern Nash on Friday.  Game time is 5pm.  

Head Coach Mark Snead gets win 200 as RRHS coach 

 

Tonight's win versus Franklinton was coach Mark Snead's  200th career win, all as coach of the RRHS Baseball Program. When asked about the 200th win, Coach Snead stated, "it has been an honor to coach such special and talented players in this tradition rich program at RRHS."
