Halifax Academy varsity girls win on the road Thursday afternoon

Halifax Academy traveled to Community Christian and earned the win 18-0 in four innings improving their overall record to 4-1.

Candace Smith saw her first action on the mound for the 2014 season and picked up the win with 9 strike-outs.

At the plate for Halifax Emily Conner had 3 singles, Hayley Wood and Mer Stephenson both had a single and a triple, Ryanne Hilliard, Jamie Harris, Drew Rose and Meredith Harris each has a single and a double, while Candace Smith had a double and Hayley Heath had a single.

Halifax Academy opens conference play at home Friday afternoon against Faith Christian at 4:00 PM.
