Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jacket sophomore Anna Vann tied for third place in the 2A NCHSAA State Championship Track Meet Friday at NC A&T State University in Greensboro.

Vann who set a Roanoke Rapids High school record with a 5ft 4in high jump in the  Northern Carolina Conference meet last week, jumped a 5ft 2in in the State Champion. There were sixteen students competing in the 2A High Jump State Championship.

Junior Quincy Vann finished thirteenth in the men's long jump with a 20ft 5in jump in the 2A Long Jump State Championship.
