The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Men's soccer team improved to 4-0 and 3-0 in Northern Carolina Conference play Wednesday night.
The Yellow Jackets shutout the Southern Vance Raiders 5-0.
Roanoke Rapids goals were by Carson Neal with four and Emerson Escobar with one.
Cameron Wilson had two assist while Thomas Merritt had nine saves in goal.
Post match comments from head coach Craig Jean, "I'm glad to get another conference win, especially against Southern Vance's #11 who has given us problems in the past. Our energy seemed a little down tonight & it wasn't our best performance of the season, but we had control of game from start to finish and we did what we wanted to do in cruising to a drama free shutout win."
The Jackets next scheduled match is Tuesday September 5th at Hoyle field against Northeastern.
