The Halifax County Semiquincentennial Commission is partnering with Halifax County Business Horizons for the sale of a commemorative license plate in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Halifax Resolves on April 12, 1776. 

All proceeds will go to the Halifax County Semiquincentennial Commission for education and commemorative activities leading up to and occurring on April 12, 2026. 

“We are proud of the role Halifax played in our nation’s history. The Halifax Resolves paved the way for American independence and continues to inspire our community with its commitment to freedom and self-governance,” Michael Wray, chairperson of the Halifax Semiquincentennial Commission, said.

You can print and fill out the Specialty License Plate Form and deliver it with a check to the Halifax County Visitor Center.
