A missing Henrico area man was found deceased today, according to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Patrick Jacobs said in a statement that Paul Byrd, 77, was located outside.

Jacobs did not immediately respond to follow-up questions this evening on where Byrd was located and whether he succumbed to the elements.

Jacobs said in the statement it is believed no foul play was involved.

Byrd had last been seen at his residence the evening of February 17.

“We would like to thank all personnel who responded and assisted in this search,” Jacobs said, including Northampton County Emergency Management, Roanoke-Wildwood Fire Department, Coastal Carolina Search Team, South Orange Search and Rescue, Wake K-9, and Southern Pride K-9.
