A Hollister man with outstanding warrants from a November 6 domestic disturbance was found Thursday hiding in his shower, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Wayne Hill, 31, remains in the Halifax County Detention Center without bond and awaits a district court appearance in January. Documents in the eCourts system concerning the case could not be immediately located.

Major Anzell Harris said in a statement that deputies responded to a call of shots fired during a domestic disturbance.

When deputies arrived in the 4000 block of Ita Road, the victim reportedly stated that Hill, who is the father of her children, shot at her vehicle and followed her. She pulled into an Ita Road business and went inside.

Deputy R. Chin obtained warrants for Hill for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny after breaking and entering, domestic violence protective order violation with a deadly weapon, injury to personal property, and domestic violence protective order violation.

After several attempts to locate Hill, deputies found him on Thursday hiding in the shower at his residence.
