A meeting is scheduled January 29 for Halifax County and Northampton County parents and guardians of children on the autism disorder spectrum.

It will be held in the multipurpose room of the T.J. Davis Recreation Center in Roanoke Rapids from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This is an initial meeting of the Autism Parent Support Group.

The event is free but no childcare will be provided.

Discussion will center on resources and services that are known in the community for children with autism.
