A dispute call in the Bowers Road area of Littleton led to the discovery of 21 marijuana plants early this morning.

Chief Deputy Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement around midnight Corporal J. Pignanello and Deputy R. Elder discovered 21 marijuana plants, various growing pots, and other items of grow paraphernalia at the residence. 

Narcotics Agent R. Ball was contacted and responded to the residence to assist in seizing the marijuana plants. 

George Jefferson, 50, of Littleton was determined to be the owner of the marijuana plants. 

He was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony manufacturing marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling for storage of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He received a $10,000 bond pending a July 17 court date.
