Dylan Moore Days Celebration will be September 21 and 22 at the Halifax County 4-H Horse and Livestock Complex off Highway 903 outside Halifax.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go to help Steve Mullinex, Laura Conover, John Motley Jr. and Kevin Hawkins who are all going through a medical crisis at this time.

Dylan Moore Days is not only about celebrating the life of a little boy the community adopted as the Roanoke Valley Cowboy, but about paying it forward.

The Moore family received an overwhelming amount of support during Dylan’s illness and has made Dylan Moore Days an annual benefit event to help other families going through a medical crisis.

On September 21 there will be a Trail Ride beginning at 10 a.m., a Vendor Fest from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with food, vendors and entertainment.

A live auction will be held at 6 p.m.

The Benefit Fair and Fun Horse Show will be held on September 22.

Cowboy Church will be at 9:30 a.m. with the horse show beginning at 10 a.m.

A Chinese auction and child-friendly games go on throughout the day.

This is a family-oriented event.
