The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating an identity theft case which occurred March 10 at two businesses.

On that date, a credit card stolen from a business in the city limits was used at Dollar General on Highway 48 near Smith Church Road around 6 p.m. and again at Food Lion on West 10th Street around 8 p.m.

Every day grocery items were purchased.
