With the governor’s order today to keep schools across the state closed until May 15, the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District said in its latest alert the system will continue to move forward with its virtual learning plan.
The plan is expected to begin March 30.
The RRGSD said in the alert its teachers are working this week to prepare for the launch. “Additionally, we will continue our Grab & Go Meal service Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at both Manning and Belmont elementary schools.”Businesses closed to limit spread of coronavirus
The governor also ordered that by 5 p.m. Wednesday, the following businesses must close:
Bingo halls; bowling alleys; indoor exercise facilities — gyms, yoga studios, and martial arts facilities — health clubs; indoor pools; live performance venues; movie theaters; sweepstakes businesses; barber shops; beauty salons; hair salons; manicure/pedicure businesses; massage therapy businesses; nail salons; and tattoo studios.
