The second positive case of COVID-19 has been reported today, bringing the total to 21.

Halifax County Public Health System Director Bruce Robistow said in a statement the case was confirmed around 2:30 this afternoon.

Robistow some of the cases are related and some are individuals from a variety of locations across the county.

“Although our numbers continue to climb, they’re climbing at a slow pace and I’m convinced all the orders in place and recommendations that are in place are proving to be successful in our mitigation of COVID-19,” Robistow said.

Robistow said the health system is still awaiting data on the latest recovery updates.
