The remaining district courts in Judicial District 6 will resume operations next Tuesday.

Those courts are in Bertie, Hertford and Northampton counties.

The North Carolina Judicial Branch made the announcement this afternoon in a statement.

The judicial branch had announced earlier that Halifax County District Court would also be reopening next Tuesday.

The state had announced in December the courts in Judicial 6 would close for 30 days in light of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the public and staff, anyone visiting the courthouse is reminded that face coverings are required and social distancing must be observed, the state said.
