Vaccinations
The health department Wednesday began reaching out to eligible candidates for the second dose of the vaccine and to set up individual appointments. “This will ensure that you receive your second dose timely without having to leave hours early, and you will not be in a long line. Multiple providers will be involved to ensure that we can meet everyone's needs.”
The health department also said Wednesday it has used all available first dose vaccines and will schedule vaccines for next week once it knows what its allocation will be.
Halifax Community College, where the vaccines are administered in the 700 building, has requested no pets be allowed on campus for vaccination purposes.
An updated registration form for first-time vaccines may be downloaded at this link.
It is not mandatory to complete the registration form prior to arrival for a COVID-19 vaccination, but is available for those who want to complete it before arriving.
Registration forms will be available at the vaccine site.
The health department requests those who want the vaccine to wait two weeks from the last vaccination of any kind before receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Northampton County
The health department reported Wednesday there were 1,490 total positive cases of which 1,347 have recovered. There were 79 active cases. There have been 64 related deaths.
