Two people from the 100 block of Washington Street in Roanoke Rapids face drug charges following the investigation of complaints of possible drug activity in that area.
Captain A.M. Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Agent B.J. Murphy confirmed that Brandon Cross, 40, and Nate Walker, 44, were selling from a residence in that area and using the back alley to do so.

Agents made several controlled purchases of cocaine there and on Thursday executed a search warrant where marijuana, a handgun, and several items of paraphernalia were seized.
This morning around 10 Murphy served Cross with warrants for maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and two counts each of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, sell cocaine and deliver cocaine.
Walker was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Cross received a $20,000 bond and Walker a $2,500 bond. Both have July 22 court dates.
