The Halifax County recovery rate for patients with COVID-19 is at 97.22 percent, the health department reported today.

That translates to 5,564 recoveries since July 19. There have been 44 active cases since July 19. There have been 115 related deaths.

Meanwhile, as of today, the health department reports the cumulative number of positive cases since March of last year is at 5,729 with 19 new cases added since July 15.

After a peak the week of January 9, the numbers for the past week remained the same.

Percent Positive of COVID 19 Cases 

The percent positives has slightly increased over the past week, however, the report shows a two-week decrease with an average of 2.7 percent.
