The Center for Energy Education’s annual coat drive will help nearly 100 children keep warm.

The November 1 through December 13 drive brought in donations from the community, Geenex Solar, Enviva, Roanoke Electric and White Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

The coats will be distributed to children in the Lincoln Heights community, Weldon’s McKinney Vento Program and several families.

“It is through this spirit of giving we can continue to provide and support those in need in our communities,” the center said.
