Congressman Don Davis will host farm bill listening sessions to hear directly from eastern North Carolina’s agriculture community and FFA students about their priorities as 2023 Farm Bill negotiations continue.
“The Farm Bill is our country's most extensive agricultural and food policy guide that comes up for reauthorization about every five years,” Davis said. “If Congress fails to authorize this critical legislation, farmers would be left without broadband access programs, emergency relief initiatives, and invaluable price support policies that allow our producers to do what they do best: feed America.”
The sessions are scheduled as follows:
Monday, May 1, at 7 p.m. — Nash County Agriculture Center, 1006 Eastern Ave., Nashville
Tuesday, May 2, at 9:30 a.m. (FFA) — Beddingfield High School, 4510 Old Stantonsburg Road, Wilson
Wednesday, May 3, at 8 a.m. — Hertford County Agriculture Center, 301 W. Tryon Street, Winton
Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. — Pitt County Agriculture Center, 403 Government Circle, Greenville
