The Roanoke Rapids Police Department will participate in National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday.

The event will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Hardee’s on 1711 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway.

“The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between law enforcement and the citizens they serve,” Chief Shane Guyant said. “This day is dedicated to encouraging communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public — building relationships, one cup at a time.”
