The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is looking for two men who walked into a Premier Boulevard store together and left with more than $500 in merchandise.

The crime occurred Tuesday around 1 p.m. and Chief Shane Guyant said the men “brazenly stole a crossbow, television speaker, and a hoverboard … These suspects just walked in, grabbed merchandise, and strolled out like it was nothing to it.”

The police department is not naming the business because they are a victim, the chief said.  “However, these thefts continue to cost hard working and honest people money as businesses will pass this along to paying consumers in order to recoup from losses,” he said. “Stealing is a crime and those that take from another, to include a business, should be punished for their actions. When people steal it costs us all money.  When we sit back and say nothing we should not complain when the price of goods rises.”
